Synopsis

Tarou "Dokaben" Yamada was a judoka in junior high, but when he gets to Meikun High School, his classmates convince him to join the baseball team instead. It doesn't take long for him to show he's a natural—he's got incredible athleticism and quickly earns a reputation as a powerful batter. With his help and his teammates' quirky personalities, Meikun becomes one of the top teams competing in the High School Baseball Championship.
