After the devastation of the Great War showed what modern weapons could do, countries everywhere turned to espionage instead of open conflict to push their interests. Nobody wanted to repeat that nightmare. Lily's a bright kid in the Din Republic who dreams of becoming a spy and making her country proud. The problem is she's not a great student, and her confidence takes a hit because of it. Then she gets an unexpected offer: join a secretive spy team called Lamplight and skip the usual graduation requirements. She jumps at it, even though something about it feels off. When Lily shows up, she's met by six other girls—all of them struggling academically just like her. Enter Klaus, a mysterious guy who drops the real bombshell: they have one month to train before infiltrating the Galgad Empire. It's clearly impossible, but the girls figure it's their last shot to prove they've actually got what it takes as spies, so they decide to work together and see what happens.
