The Inuyama family relocates to Hoppongi Hills—a fancy residential complex—from Kyushu, bringing their dog Tetsunoshin along with them. Rumi's father runs an IT company and is pushing hard to reach the top of the industry. But here's the catch: Tetsunoshin discovers that the family's lavish rent is bleeding them dry. They're so deep in debt that the whole company is on the brink of bankruptcy. Things get worse when the family keeps spending money recklessly on everything, which only adds to their financial problems. To save the day, Tetsunoshin teams up with a group of neighborhood dogs called the Hills Dogs and commits to doing whatever it takes to cover the family's expenses and dig them out of this hole.
