Synopsis

A meteor destroys Earth and leaves it under the control of a traitor faction. In the aftermath, a boy named Tetsuro Daiba—who lost his parents in the impact—is visited by a mysterious woman named Mello in a burst of light. He wakes up on a spaceship, but quickly steals a fighter and escapes. Turns out he can pilot it instinctively, thanks to DNA-encoded memories. To learn more about his abilities, his doctor friend brings him to a secret underground lab where they're researching how to stop the regime. When enemy forces raid the lab, a girl named Rei Yuuki shows up and single-handedly destroys their entire carrier with her fighter jet. Both teens seem to have strange powers the regime desperately wants—and they might be the only two survivors of the original meteor strike. While searching for a possible third survivor (which turns out to be a telepathic cat), they get captured by Queen Photon, the regime's ruler. She claims she's actually trying to save Earth from whoever sent the meteor in the first place. Neither Tetsuro nor Rei know who to trust—Photon or Mello—until the cat helps them escape. With Mello's help, everything becomes clear. Now the three of them face a choice: stay on a dying planet, or risk the unknown and head into space.
