Scar on the Praeter
Project Scard: Praeter no Kizu
The Akatsuki Special Ward is falling apart. Foreign syndicates are tearing it apart for profit, leaving ordinary people trapped in the violence. But there's a resistance—the Scard, vigilantes powered by supernatural tattoos granted by some kind of divine force. Eiji Arashiba is their strongest member, the Hero of Akatsuki, and he's been holding the line against the chaos. Everything changes when Eiji and a kid named Yamato Kai team up to fight the Dusk mafia. During the fight, Yamato takes a sniper bullet meant for Eiji—or tries to, anyway. The shot hits Yamato's body, but more importantly, it damages the tattoo he somehow has on him. With Yamato bleeding out, Eiji makes a desperate choice: he transfers his own Scard tattoo to Yamato and steps back. Now Yamato's left holding the power Eiji gave him, with the ward still crumbling around him and people depending on him to survive. Can he actually fill those shoes, or is he in over his head?
