Synopsis

This movie picks up after the original Adventure series wraps. A mysterious Digimon egg shows up on the internet and manages to infect computer systems across Japan. When it hatches, it's revealed to be a Virus-type Digimon—a completely new species. The creature feeds on data from various networks, growing stronger and causing chaos throughout the country as it evolves. Taichi and Koushiro decide they have to take action. They send Agumon and Tentomon into the internet to confront this new threat, but things escalate fast when the Virus gains control over major systems, including the American military. Realizing the digital crisis could become a real-world disaster, they bring Yamato and Takeru into the fight. Now the group has to stop what's already in motion—and potentially save the world all over again.
