Synopsis

After barely making it out of Sarugaku headquarters alive, Sousuke Banba gets back to work investigating the Kagewani hybrids. Now he's got a real weapon against them—he can actually use the creatures' power himself. The catch? Using it is destroying him mentally. The more he relies on this ability, the more it threatens to take over his mind and body completely. Things get worse when trouble starts coming from both directions. Sarugaku's higher-ups are making moves again, and some assassin with a personal grudge decides Sousuke is her target. But none of that stops him. He pushes forward anyway, dead set on finding out where the Kagewani originally came from and putting an end to them for good.
