Synopsis

Hazuki Kagimura is a socially awkward girl with no real friends and struggles to fit in with her newly adopted family. Her escape is books—the stories let her imagine the friendships and adventures she doesn't have in real life. Everything changes when a strange old book mysteriously shows up in her bag. While heading to the library to return it, she spots a girl no one else seems to notice. Following her leads Hazuki to a hidden library that feels straight out of her dreams. There she meets Shizuka Tsuchimikado, who becomes her first real friend. Hazuki also learns she's been chosen by the original Cinderella manuscript to become an Origin Master—basically a magical girl with serious power. She gets enrolled at Kuzunoha Girl's Magic Academy, where she starts facing her fears and learning to write her own story instead of just reading other people's.
