Synopsis

The United Earth Sphere Alliance has run Earth and the space colonies with military control for decades. When the colonies tried to resist, their leader was assassinated. Now it's year 195 After Colony, and colonial rebels are fighting back—they've sent five mobile suits called Gundams down to Earth as part of "Operation Meteor." These Gundams are built from an nearly indestructible alloy and are meant to strike against the Alliance and its military arm, OZ. One of the Gundams, piloted by a guy calling himself Heero Yuy after the murdered colony leader, gets shot down over the ocean during a fight with OZ's top pilot, Zechs Marquise. He washes ashore and is found by Relena Peacecraft, whose father is a politician pushing for peace. She watches Heero crash-land, and this chance meeting ends up changing everything for both of them—and for everyone else on Earth and in the colonies.
