Reikenzan: Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage
Centuries ago, the nine provinces of Kyushu were supposed to be destroyed. Prophecy said falling comets would drain the spiritual energy from heaven and earth, plunging the world into chaos. But the comets came and went without incident. Around that same time, a boy named Ouriku was born in a remote village in the Sokei region—possibly connected to the phenomenon, though nobody knew for sure. Fast forward twelve years, and most people have forgotten about the whole thing. The Reikenzan clan, one of the five most powerful sects in the nine provinces, decides to hold an exam to recruit talented disciples who might eventually become sages. Ouriku hears about it and heads to the exam site with his servant Ouchou. They don't realize that Oubu, the exam's organizer, looks refined and elegant but is actually reckless and irresponsible—which means the trials are going to be completely unpredictable. The series follows Ouriku as he attempts to survive these chaotic trials and become a sage.
