The story kicks off in Anpanman World during the annual Star Festival, when everyone's caught up in the excitement of preparations. Out of nowhere, an egg appears in Baikinman's trash pile. When it hatches, out comes a mysterious boy named Kurun—and he has no idea where he came from. Despite being a total mystery, Kurun fits right in and spends his days hanging out with the gang. Things take a turn when black stars start falling from the sky. Suspecting something's gone wrong at the Star of Life, Anpanman decides to investigate.
