Synopsis

Asta and Yuno were left at the same church as babies and grew up together. They both dreamed of becoming the Wizard King, the strongest mage in the kingdom, and made a pact to compete for the title. But as they got older, their paths diverged dramatically. Yuno turned out to be a natural mage with incredible power and control, while Asta had zero magical ability and could only rely on intense physical training. At fifteen, everything changed. Yuno got an amazing four-leaf clover Grimoire—basically a mage's spellbook—while Asta got nothing. Shortly after, a thief named Lebuty attacked Yuno to steal his Grimoire. Asta stepped in to defend his friend but was completely outmatched. Just when things looked hopeless, hearing Yuno's voice gave Asta a surge of determination. His emotions exploded outward, and he suddenly received a five-leaf clover Grimoire known as the Black Clover, granting him enough power to take down Lebuty. With their newfound strength, the two friends set out on their journey to achieve their shared dream: becoming the next Wizard King.
