Yoshika Miyafuji is living a quiet life back home when her old commander Mio Sakamoto arranges for her to study medicine in Europe. She heads back overseas with Shizuka Hattori, a former naval academy student under Sakamoto's command. But as soon as Yoshika arrives in Europe, new Neuroi activity starts cropping up, and the scattered members of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing begin regrouping. Before long, Yoshika and Shizuka find themselves face-to-face with a particularly dangerous Neuroi.
