Synopsis

Yomi Takeda and Tamaki Yamazaki grew up playing baseball together, bonding over catch sessions where Yomi showed an almost supernatural talent for pitching. They swore they'd keep playing forever—until they got separated and life pulled them in different directions. While Tamaki developed into a solid catcher, Yomi's career stalled out, and she eventually decided to give up on the sport entirely. She enters Shin Koshigaya High School determined to leave baseball behind. That plan falls apart pretty quickly when she befriends the Kawaguchi twins, Yoshino and Ibuki, who are both baseball fanatics. Then she runs into Tamaki again, and one game of catch is all it takes to rekindle Yomi's competitive fire and remind them both of their old promise. With Tamaki by her side again, Yomi throws herself back into the sport. She and the twins recruit more players and manage to get their school's dormant baseball team up and running. Now that they've got a full roster, the girls set their sights on winning nationals.
