Synopsis

Tokyo is home to a surprisingly peaceful mix of humans and supernatural beings—elves, dwarves, vampires, and everything in between. But things weren't always this way. Dragons once ruled over this entire world with godlike power, though they vanished long ago. Now a terrorist organization called Nine is determined to uncover the secrets of those lost dragons, and they're willing to burn Tokyo to the ground to get them. To fight back, the police department forms Special 7, an elite task force of gifted individuals whose abilities far outstrip those of normal cops. Seiji Nanatsuki, a rookie detective with a strong moral compass, gets caught up in a bank robbery that turns into a hostage situation. When Shiori Ichinose from Special 7 shows up to help, Seiji impresses her enough that he earns an invitation to join the team. What sounds like a dream opportunity quickly becomes anything but predictable. Working alongside super-powered beings from different species means every day brings something completely unexpected—and Seiji has to learn on the fly. Between handling Tokyo's regular crime and hunting down Nine's dangerous schemes, Seiji and the rest of Special 7 have their hands full trying to keep the city safe.
