Synopsis

The series kicks off when Hayato, a soccer player, and his girlfriend Yumi, who's pursuing music, visit Dr. Leonard's lab. They accidentally turn on the Tondekeman—a wise-cracking talking kettle—which whisks them back several centuries. They end up in Baghdad, where Hayato and Yumi reunite but lose track of Tondekeman. There they meet Aladdin, Prince Dandarn, and Princess Shalala. They also run into Abdullah, a scheming guy who's constantly trying to kidnap the princess so he can force her to marry his master. The group gets pulled across different time periods and locations, encountering various historical and literary figures while chasing Abdullah as he jumps through time trying to abduct the princess. Hayato and Yumi are trapped in the past until they manage to get the Tondekeman back from Abdullah's hands.
