Synopsis

Saku Chitose is the kind of guy everyone wants to be. Charismatic, confident, naturally likeable—people just gravitate toward him. But popularity has a price. Not everyone buys his act, and plenty of people resent him for shining so bright. For Saku, the thought of living an ugly life is genuinely worse than death, which means keeping up his perfect image isn't optional. In his second year, his homeroom teacher ropes him into bringing back Kenta Yamazaki, a classmate who's stopped coming to school. Saku figures it'll be a quick fix. Except Kenta straight-up despises him and everything he stands for. What should've been a simple favor ends up revealing just how far apart two worlds can be—the people who live in the spotlight and the ones who never got the chance. Caught between admirers and haters, all watching his every move, Saku's stuck walking that line between being real and performing. Trying to figure out what it actually means to live a good life when everyone's only looking at the surface.
