Dark Machine: The Animation
Dark Machine has blown up as a global esports phenomenon, basically reshaping how society works—especially Japan's economy. Golden Valley is the only city in Japan set up as a special economic zone for the game, and it's completely dominated by its reigning champion, Ajima, who holds the title of Senki—the seventh person ever to claim that top-player position. Kairi heads to Golden Valley following his late grandfather's dying words: "Find Senki." Once he gets there, he runs into Rudra, a girl on the run from Ajima's crew, the Aldabil. Getting caught up in her situation, Kairi decides to become a Dark Machine player himself. He starts competing in match after match, and through it all, he discovers he's got serious hidden talent. As Kairi climbs the ranks, he gets closer to actually facing Senki—and to figuring out what his grandfather's final message really meant. His journey to the top is just getting started.
