Synopsis

Two college students, Kuriaki Magi and Yaeko Kirihara, watch a man get brutally struck in the head—only to see him walk away completely fine. When they catch up to him, the guy introduces himself as Momoyuki Mogura and casually drops the bomb that he's immortal. At first they think he's just messed up, but then they start seeing ghosts everywhere. Mogura fills them in: these are spirits of the dead, and they produce this thing called demon fire—basically a light that helps guide them to the afterlife. Problem is, Mogura lost his right to carry the fire a long time ago. For years he's been collecting it from spirits he encounters, desperate to finally make it to the afterlife himself. Now that Magi and Yaeko are on board to help him hunt down more spirits, Mogura might actually have a shot at his weird dream.
