Synopsis

Cinderella is the daughter of a wealthy duke who remarries, hoping to give her a new family. But when he travels abroad, his new wife and her daughters turn out to be cruel and selfish. Forced into servitude in her own home, Cinderella cooks and cleans while her stepsisters lounge around. She stays kind and cheerful anyway, treating everyone—including her animal friends and a mysterious boy named Charles—with genuine warmth. Charles seems to have some connection to the prince of Emerald Castle. When Cinderella's stepmother refuses to let her attend the Royal Ball, help comes from an unlikely trio: two friendly mice named Gus and Jaq, and her Fairy Godmother. It's a fresh take on the classic tale.
