Synopsis

Etsuko Murakami used to think she was special because she was fast—but that was back in elementary school. Once other kids caught up to her athletically, she lost interest and quit running altogether. Now a second-year in high school, she's basically given up on sports entirely. That changes when Riina Takahashi, a passionate transfer student, shows up and basically forces Etsuko and their classmate Hime Saeki to help her restart the rowing club that had just disbanded. The team rounds out with two more girls—rivals Taeko Hyoudou and Mayumi Imoto—and despite Etsuko's initial reluctance, something clicks. Turns out rowing might be exactly what she needed. As she pushes herself harder than before, she finally finds where she belongs, rowing alongside the other girls.
