Synopsis

The three episodes are totally standalone and don't really have an overarching plot. Instead, they're basically comedic jabs at Patlabor itself and mecha anime in general. Episode 1 breaks down the Ingram's weaponry—what it carries, how it was designed, and why it works the way it does. Episode 2 focuses on the design and upkeep of the Ingram 98 AV used by SVU2, while also taking shots at the merchandising and marketing machine behind the whole thing. Episode 3 is the only one that actually builds on something from the original TV series, diving into how SVU2 manages to stay funded in the first place.
