Synopsis

Kazuma Satou, a friendless high school gamer, dies in the most embarrassing way possible—getting hit by a car while buying a video game. When he comes to, he's facing Aqua, a gorgeous but insufferable goddess who gives him a choice: heaven or reincarnation in a real fantasy world straight out of his favorite games. Kazuma jumps at the chance and gets sent off to defeat the Demon King terrorizing the land. Before he goes, he can bring one thing with him—and he picks Aqua. Terrible decision. She's absolutely worthless in combat. That's just the beginning of their problems. Turns out living in a fantasy world is nothing like playing one. Instead of epic quests and glory, Kazuma and Aqua are broke and have to actually work to afford food and shelter. Welcome to the real adventure—dealing with actual adult responsibilities in a medieval fantasy setting.
