Synopsis

Arata Kaizaki is a 27-year-old mess—jobless, directionless, and basically written off by everyone who knows him. That changes when he crosses paths with Ryou Yoake from the ReLife Research Institute, who presents him with an unusual offer: take a pill and get a second chance at life. Arata doesn't hesitate. When he wakes up the next morning, he's shocked to discover his body has been de-aged to 17. Turns out he's now part of some kind of experiment. For the next year, he has to go to high school as a transfer student. Arata figures it'll be easy—he's lived ten extra years, how hard could it be? He's immediately proven wrong. He bombs every test, his fitness is shot, and the school's changed so much in a decade that he can't keep up with anything. On top of that, Ryou's been assigned to spy on him the whole time, which is pretty annoying. ReLIFE is basically Arata's year-long struggle to actually fix his life this time around while navigating high school all over again and getting to know his classmates along the way.
