Synopsis

A rare Van Gogh Sunflowers painting—one thought lost during a WWII air raid—goes up for auction at a prestigious New York gallery. Billionaire Jirokichi Suzuki and his niece Sonoko win with a $300 million bid. At the press conference afterward, Suzuki reveals his ambitious plan: gather all seven Van Gogh Sunflowers paintings from around the world for a massive exhibition. He's building a custom gallery inside a cliff in Japan called "Lake Rock," outfitted with top-tier security. To pull it off, he hires seven specialists—dubbed the "Seven Samurai"—to manage the exhibition and safeguard the paintings. Conan gets wind that the infamous thief Kaito Kid is planning to steal one of the Sunflowers during the auction, and he moves to track him down.
