Synopsis

Ken Asuka is a former kamikaze pilot turned street tough who uses karate to fight his way through life. Everything changes when he discovers Eiji Yoshikawa's novels about the legendary swordsman Musashi Miyamoto. Inspired by Musashi's philosophy, Ken decides to approach karate with genuine discipline and purpose instead of just throwing punches. The story is based on a manga by Ikki Kajiwara and Jiro Tsunoda, which itself drew from the real-life story of Yasunobu Oyama, founder of the intense Kyokushin Karate school.
