Synopsis

Humanity spread across the galaxy and colonized multiple planets—until an alien species called Victim showed up and wiped out all the colonies except one: Zion. To defend what's left, the military established GOA, a training academy that recruits boys from Zion's remaining settlements to pilot the Ingrids, five powerful combat robots known as the Goddesses. Pilots need two things: the rare EO blood type and a special ability called an EX. Zero, a new candidate, literally falls into the cockpit of one of the Ingrids—specifically the one called Eeva-Leena—the moment he arrives at GOA. Since the synch between pilot and machine is notoriously unstable, everyone assumes the Goddess will kill him trying to establish a connection. Instead, Zero achieves a perfect synch right before blacking out. Before he can even process what happened, his actual training as a pilot starts.
