It's been a decade since the whole Unicron mess went down. Things have actually improved between the two sides—a bunch of Decepticons who fought in that battle have teamed up with the Autobots to mine Energon as an alternative power source. Of course, peace doesn't last forever. Enter Alpha Q, who's got his own agenda: steal the Autobots' Energon stash with help from Scorponok and the Terrorcons. And it gets worse. This new threat wants to resurrect both Megatron and Unicron, basically trying to kick off the whole war all over again.
