Shirobako Specials
Shirobako Specials adapts the first episodes of two fictional anime that were produced by Musashino Animation within the Shirobako series itself. Exodus!: Shutsu Tokyo Tracy is a struggling idol group made up of Akane, Aya, and Alpine—three girls trying to break into the business. After bombing a supermarket performance, leader Akane decides to shake things up by confronting their apathetic manager Taguchi. Instead, the trio discovers his dead body in a storage room and suddenly finds themselves as murder suspects. But hey, at least they're finally getting the attention they wanted. Daisan Hikou Shoujotai: FALLING ANGEL The 307 Aerial Squad, nicknamed "Hell Alice," fights a losing battle against the Builders—mysterious invaders who've covered a third of Earth with massive structures called Pillars. Modern aircraft got disabled by the Pillars, so Hell Alice is stuck flying outdated planes against stolen alien tech. Aria Hitotose, a cold-blooded teenage pilot known as the "Ice Doll," is their best shot. When a rescue mission at a destroyed base goes south, Aria and her squad have to pull off an impossible save.
