Synopsis

Work's been slow at the Ootsuji Detective Agency, so when a newspaper guy offers a job investigating a string of disappearances happening beneath the city's cheerful festival season, Soutarou doesn't think twice. He pawns the case off on his young partner Saki—a decision he immediately regrets when Saki vanishes too. Now Soutarou's forced to descend into the Dark, the city's lawless underground maze of crime and depravity, where he'll have to contend with some seriously dangerous players: the sadistic Laughing Masks gang and a rogue police unit running an armored train called the Demon 463.
