Kyoukai no Kanata
Mirai Kuriyama is the last member of a bloodline of Spirit World warriors who can weaponize their own blood. Her job is to hunt and kill youmu—creatures born from negative human emotions. One afternoon on the school roof, she spots Akihito Kanbara, a half-youmu living as a human, and freaks out enough to stab him with a blood blade. Problem is, he's immortal. They end up becoming friends after that, mostly because Mirai keeps trying to kill him as a way to prove herself as a warrior. Eventually Akihito gets her to join the school's Literary Club, where she meets Hiroomi and Mitsuki Nase—two more Spirit World warriors. As the group gets closer, the youmu attacks intensify. What started as weird hangouts turns into a genuine survival situation when a catastrophically powerful youmu called Beyond the Boundary is about to break loose.
