Mamoru Suzuhara is a shy high school student obsessed with reading about modern warfare. When he finds out his crush, Aya Chiyono, is moving away with her family in a week, he finally works up the nerve to ask her to run away with him instead. Six teenagers in total end up camping out in an abandoned coal factory called Satomi. They have a great first day—until they realize they're probably not alone in there. Bokura no Nanokakan Sensou is a coming-of-age story adapted from a novel. What starts as the kids' impulsive act of rebellion spirals into an actual war against the adults. Throughout it all, they're dealing with the usual struggle of opening up emotionally and fighting to protect the things that matter to them.
