A Knot in Time Mayumi and Kiwako are just trying to enjoy their summer break at the beach when Mayumi spots what looks like a lost camera while scuba diving. She's too curious to leave it alone, so she gets the film developed—and gets a huge shock. There she is in the photos, standing next to some guy she's never met. She drags in Kiwako's older brother to help figure it out, and things get weirder: the camera model doesn't exist yet. Now Mayumi's obsessed with tracking down where this thing came from and who that mysterious man in the pictures is. File 538 Planes keep disappearing from the sky, and there's this bizarre rumor going around that they're turning into giant carp. A freelance detective is looking into a sketchy apartment on the edge of town after picking up a lead about a middle-aged man and a young girl who seem oddly into fish. When he finally tracks them down and checks out their room, he finds it completely empty except for a single document. It's a message that says something like, "This story was made for you, my successor. you should be coming here soon."
