Synopsis

Gunma Akagi is a country kid with a souped-up tractor and a habit of causing trouble—much to the frustration of his father Souichirou, an aspiring politician who needs his family to stay squeaky clean for his career. One night, Gunma and his best friend Tamotsu are cruising on the highway when some car comes out of nowhere and blows past them. Gunma takes it as a direct challenge and floors it, but he gets totally humiliated. That embarrassing loss gets under his skin, though. He becomes obsessed with finding this mysterious driver and beating them, no matter what it takes. Before long, Gunma ditches rural life for the city with one goal in mind: becoming a Formula One champion.
