Synopsis

FX racing—piloting two-legged mechanical beasts with arms—has exploded in popularity, largely because the sport doesn't shy away from brutal competition. Makoto drives for a struggling D-ranked team that's drowning in debt but desperate to win. When the prestigious Open Cup rolls around, they see their shot: the prize money could change everything. The catch? Their homemade FX is nowhere near powerful enough to compete. Then Gou shows up with an offer—a brand-new, state-of-the-art engine. The team jumps at it without asking too many questions. They should've asked more questions. Turns out, there's a price that goes way beyond money.
