Synopsis

Scientists from around the world converge on "Heaven's Gate," the legendary tomb of King Gilgamesh, hoping to unlock the secrets of immortality. The research is shut down on ethical grounds, but a terrorist group doesn't care—they attack the facility and trigger an explosion that destroys the advanced civilization built around it. Years later, siblings Tatsuya and Kiyoko Madoka are fleeing from thugs when they get caught between two mysterious factions at war. Both groups claim they're fighting for humanity's sake, leaving the siblings with an impossible choice: figure out who's actually telling the truth and pick a side.
