Synopsis

Mars is almost entirely underwater now. Humanity survives in massive floating city-ships scattered across the open seas, but conditions are rough. The economy's struggling, jobs are hard to come by, and food costs a fortune. Gram and his crew do what they can to get by, but work keeps disappearing. Some people have turned to piracy as a way to fight back against government corruption—like the infamous crew of the Ship of Aurora. To deal with the pirate threat, Earth's government has sent in military pilots equipped with Round Bucklers, specialized mecha designed to keep the Martian seas under control. When Gram ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time, he gets swept up with the most notorious pirates on the planet. And against all odds, he starts actually liking them.
