Cardfight!! Vanguard
Cardfight Vanguard is a card game that's taken off in a huge way, turning a ton of people into dedicated players called "cardfighters" who battle it out in card shops all the time. One of those people inspired by the game is Aichi Sendou, a quiet kid who gets bullied a lot at school. His one source of comfort is Blaster Blade, a rare card someone gave him years ago. Whenever things get rough, he looks at it and finds the strength to keep going. Then one day the school bully, Katsumi Morikawa, spots the card and steals it. Before Aichi can do anything about it, the card ends up with Toshiki Kai—some cardfighter who's already become the strongest player in town despite just getting there. And Kai won't give it back unless Aichi beats him in a cardfight. Nobody expects much from the timid kid, but Aichi surprises everyone. He gathers his courage, imagines himself winning, and takes the plunge into the world of Cardfight Vanguard. What starts as a mission to get his card back becomes something way bigger.
