Synopsis

After a night out drinking, Yan Yuechu and his coworker Hu Zhi get caught in the rain and duck into an unusual shelter: the building that houses XY, an infamously mysterious escape game run by Xu Aiyou. Deciding to give it a shot, they manage to complete the game within the hour. But the experience leaves them unsettled—scattered throughout the rooms are fragments that seem to reveal dark moments from Xu Aiyou's past, moments vivid enough to haunt their dreams afterward. The next day, Yan Yuechu gets a warning letter telling him to stay away from escape games. When he tries asking Xu Aiyou what's really going on, he gets nowhere. That night he dreams he's trapped in his own bedroom, forced to solve a puzzle to get out. Except. was it actually a dream? As the line between reality and delusion blurs, Yan Yuechu realizes he needs to figure out what XY really is before he loses his grip on sanity.
