The world has fallen into chaos. Earth has been overrun by an insectoid species known as the Blue, and humanity's grip on the planet is slipping away. Twenty years ago, Yuji Kaido—a young man suffering from a mysterious illness—was put into cryogenic suspension in hopes that a cure would eventually be found. When he finally wakes up, he discovers that decades have passed and the Blue now dominates what's left of civilization. Determined to fight for humanity's survival, Yuji joins a military unit dedicated to battling these creatures and reclaiming some semblance of a future worth living for.
