Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu follows a group of teenagers figuring out who they are and what they actually want to do with their lives—even if that means taking an unconventional route. Buntarou Hojo is a high school student with genuine writing talent but zero sense of direction. His classmate Sayuki Kuroda spots his potential and ropes him into joining her visual novel game development club. When she corners him in the bathroom to pitch the idea, Buntarou thinks he's being asked out on a date. Nope—it's a job interview. Awkward, but he agrees anyway. From there, the two start building out their team, recruiting members as they go. The real question is whether they'll actually learn anything about making games, or if this whole thing becomes more about discovering themselves in the process.
