Synopsis

Death Stranding One day, the dead came back. Spirits of the deceased began reaching into the world of the living, but their touch triggered catastrophic explosions that destroyed everything in their path—a disaster known as the Death Stranding. Entire nations were wiped out overnight. Civilization collapsed. The survivors who remained scattered across the wasteland, cutting themselves off from one another, afraid to connect. With humanity on the edge of extinction, a legendary porter named Sam Bridges takes on a seemingly impossible task: deliver cargo and messages across the broken continent, reconnecting isolated communities and giving people a reason to survive. As Sam makes his journey across North America, others are struggling with the new world in their own ways. An old man searches for salvation through methods that reject Sam's ideology. A woman builds her own power by embracing endless conflict. A young man carries a personal vendetta against Sam himself. And then there's a girl who's found peace in solitude.
