Synopsis

Humanity once faced extinction at the hands of the Celestial Hosts—mysterious beings that nearly destroyed civilization. Five legendary mages managed to defeat them, but worried the threat might return, so they built a magical dome and tower to seal the monsters away. Ever since, the five strongest mages of each generation have been chosen to guard that seal from the top of the Wizard's Tower. Will Serfort and Elfaria Albis Serfort grew up together dreaming of reaching that tower. They made a childhood promise to climb it side by side. But things didn't work out as planned. Five years ago, Elfaria's incredible magical talent earned her a spot among the Magia Vander—the five elite mages. Will, on the other hand, had no magical ability at all. Now a sixth-year student at Regarden Magic Academy, he's become a laughingstock to both teachers and peers. What he lacks in magic, though, Will makes up for in raw physical strength. Armed with nothing but a sword and a few enchanted items, he's proven he can cut down monsters in the labyrinth and hold his own against actual mages. It's enough. With stubborn determination, Will is set on keeping that promise to Elfaria no matter what—even if he has to do it without magic.
