Synopsis

Hikaru Kicker is a 13-year-old soccer fanatic who's basically had a ball in his hands since infancy—a gift from his dad's friend that he never put down. Looking to seriously develop his skills, he heads to Italy and initially joins Genova's top team. But it doesn't take long before he bails to join Columbus, a struggling squad, alongside his friend Anna. The two of them throw themselves into turning the team around. Despite constant setbacks, Columbus gradually improves through sheer determination, eventually pulling off an upset win against Margerita, one of Genova's powerhouse teams. When the city announces its first-ever soccer tournament, Hikaru and his teammates seize the chance to test themselves against increasingly tough opponents. As the tournament progresses, the team matures as players and as people. Whether Hikaru can find the back of the net and lead Columbus to the championship becomes the heart of the story.
