Adrift in the Pacific
Juugo Shounen Hyouryuuki
Fifteen young students are supposed to take a boat back to their families on New Zealand's coasts, but things go wrong fast. The boat loses its anchor and drifts into the open ocean overnight with no one steering it. When morning comes, a massive storm hits and makes it impossible to sail back. A few days later, the boat crashes on a deserted island in the Pacific. Now stranded for twenty months, the kids have to figure out how to survive on their own. They manage to gather enough food to make it through the coming winter. Briant, Doniphan, and Gordon step up as the group's leaders, and they discover that a sailor had lived and died on the island about two decades earlier.
