In the year 3990, the immortal Oldna Poseidal has ruled Pentagona—a war-torn solar system spanning five planets—for centuries. Daba Myroad is one of the last survivors of the Yaman Clan, nearly destroyed by the tyrant's conquest. He lives in hiding on the remote planet Koam alongside his friend Mirao Kyao, guarding L-Gaim, a humanoid mecha left over from his people and one of the only artifacts of their civilization that still exists. When a group of thieves comes after L-Gaim, Daba and Mirao end up befriending two unlikely allies: Fanneria Amu, a young actress, and Lilith Fau, the last fairy left in the entire Pentagona system. The four of them stay on the run together, but a chance encounter with one of their pursuers sets everything in motion. Daba makes a promise to a dying thief—an honorable decision that brings them into contact with Amandara Kamandara, a powerful merchant operating in the shadows. Now caught up in something bigger than themselves, this makeshift crew finds themselves facing serious enemies and dragged into a full-blown rebellion against Poseidal's iron grip on the system.
