Vampires have ruled under the Scarlet Moon for centuries. Once a year, they compete in "Visual Prison"—a visual kei singing competition where the winner receives incredible power from the Scarlet Moon itself. Two groups dominate the scene: ECLIPSE, the current champions who defend the status quo, and LOST EDEN, who believe might makes right. Ange Yuki is a shy kid with zero confidence in his singing. He moves to Harajuku to find a musician he's obsessed with, but stumbles into a live performance battle between ECLIPSE and LOST EDEN instead. The shows blow his mind, but he collapses from overwhelming bloodlust. When he wakes up, he's being cared for by Guiltia "Guil" Brion—the very musician he came looking for. Guil drops the bombshell: Ange is a dhampir, half-human and half-vampire. The good news is Ange can enter Visual Prison. The bad news is Guil won't be competing alongside him. Things get interesting when Ange meets Robin Laffite, an English guy who's impressed by his voice. With the competition coming up fast, Ange has to scramble to put together a proper band before time runs out.
