Synopsis

Kazuya Kinoshita is a 20-year-old college student who gets dumped by his girlfriend Mami Nanami without warning, leaving him devastated. To deal with the heartbreak, he downloads a rental girlfriend app and matches with Chizuru Mizuhara, a stunningly beautiful girl whose charm and warmth quickly win him over. That is, until he reads other customers' reviews and realizes she's just playing a character. When he calls her out with a poor rating, Chizuru drops the act and reveals herself to be sharp-tongued and hot-tempered. Their argument gets cut short when Kazuya's grandmother suddenly collapses. They rush to the hospital, but she's fine. When his grandmother asks who Chizuru is, Kazuya panics and blurts out that they're dating. Now Chizuru has to keep pretending to be his girlfriend, even though Kazuya's still hung up on his ex. Neither of them is happy about it, and the question becomes: how long can they actually pull this off?
