Synopsis

With another Wave just a week away, Naofumi and his crew are working overtime to prepare. But when bat familiars suddenly swarm Lurolona Village and the Wave's countdown mysteriously stops, the Four Cardinal Heroes get called back to meet with Queen Mirelia. She lays out what's really going on: the Spirit Tortoise has woken up. This massive creature is basically the worst-case scenario—it's destroyed everything before and it's doing it again. The queen puts together a plan to take it down, but here's the thing: only Naofumi, the Shield Hero, actually agrees to help. The other three heroes? Yeah, they're sitting this one out.
