Synopsis

Kurou Daijuuji is a broke detective scraping by in Arkham City when Ruri Hado from the Hado Financial Group offers him serious money to find a magic book. Cash-strapped as he is, he takes the job. While hunting for it, he stumbles across Al—a gorgeous girl who's actually a powerful grimoire. The two end up making a contract that grants Kurou actual magical abilities. Not long after, Al activates Demonbane, a massive mecha that the Hado Financial Group has hidden away, to deal with a mechanical threat coming from the Black Lodge. That's when things really kick off: the Hado Financial Group and the Black Lodge go to war.
